1.) Take Time-Outs
- For every hour you work, take about a ten minute break. Having breaks throughout your day is probably one of the best, and my personal favorite, ways to relieve stress. It breaks your day apart and makes it seem less impossible. It also gives you time to reflect and plan for what's next. During oe of these breaks try to do deep breathing as well.
2.) Cut Caffeine Intake
- It's fine and helpful in very small doses. But taken regularly it can hinder the operation of several keys systems that your body uses naturally to relieve and react to stress.
3.) Exercise Regularly
- Exercise is the key to healthy living. It will also promote healthy digestion When you exercise, is better able to digest and remove acids such as lactic and uric acids. When these build up and become excessive, they can make you feel on-edge. Moderate exercise, like a quick paced walk or run, can reduce anxiety for up to or over two hours!
4.) Sleep Well
- Do everything you need to do, during the day. Work hard at what you do and feel accomplished at night. Regular sleep patterns are also a key part of stress relief. If you do not sleep on a regular routine or get poor quality sleep, it will confuse your body and make it less capable of responding to and resolving stressful situations.
5.) Natural Supplements
- Try taking vitamin B supplements if your stress load is heavy. Vitamin B is known to help regulate the body's response to stress and maintain a healthy nervous system. Vitamin B6 & B12 are key.
It's really that easy to reduce your stress level! Small steps go a long way towards living a healthier, low stress life!
