Five Not so Great Features of the Sharp FX Plus Messaging Smartphone

Why the Sharp FX Plus Might Not Be the Messaging Smartphone for You

Millionaire Hoy

The Sharp FX Plus is one of the latest Android smartphones available via AT&T and is tailored to fit the needs of texting, instant messaging, email, and social networking fans, and while it has great features, it also has a few less than ideal features.

Poor Battery Life

The battery life of a smartphone can either make it or break it, and no matter how great a smartphone is, if it is lacking in battery life, it can really hold a great smartphone back. While the Sharp FX Plus smartphone might be a great fit for texting and typing smartphone fans, it's poor 1240 mAh battery that only promises an advertised 3 hours of max talk time, the battery of the Sharp FX Plus messaging smartphone is definitely one of its worst features.

Processing Power

In addition to have a less than ideal battery, the Sharp FX Plus smartphone is also a bit slow and laggy. While most modern smartphones are pushing the limits of mobile processors and are sporting fast and powerful dual core processors, the Sharp FX Plus only features a paltry 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 single core processor '" which is very slow by modern standards.

Lacking Camera Quality

If you're like many smartphone owners that are looking to replace their old digital cameras for camera phones, the Sharp FX Plus might not be the ideal smartphone for you. Camera phones are nearing digital camera quality and modern smartphones are known to feature HD 8, 10, and even 12 megapixel cameras '" but the Sharp FX Plus messaging phone only boasts a fraction of those specs with a low quality 3 megapixel camera.

Memory

Not only are smartphones taking the place of digital cameras, but some also double as a portable computer away from home and allow smartphone owners to browse the web, download and listen to music, watch movies, and lots of other great features. One of Sharp FX Plus Android phone's worst features just so happens to be its paltry 138MB of internal memory (expendable to 32GB) which won't allow for doing much more than messaging.

No Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Considering the Sharp FX Plus' lacking RAM, processor, and internal memory, the Sharp FX Plus might not be an ideal candidate for Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This smartphone currently runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, but won't be able to take advantage of the new messaging, interface, updated apps, and other features that are available in Android 2.3 and late Android updates.
