The Picture People is a great, kid friendly photo establishment. They are located inside Springfield Mall at: 1250 Baltimore Pike Springfield,PA 19064. The Picture People is a favorite place of mine because they really know how to work with kids and get them to smile for the photos. They don't charge a sitting fee. The store is clean, offers photos in an hour and even has frames and photo accessories. They offer coupons if you join their mailing list, post special offers on their website and even have a picture club. I do find that sometimes they really pressure you to purchase more than you want to or buy a frame. They often bring out a beautiful picture of your child in an expensive frame, but just hold your ground and only buy want you want to buy. You can walk in or call ahead to make an appointment and reduce the wait time. Their website is: http://www.picturepeople.com/index.asp
I also really like Kiddie Kandids. They are located in the Babies R Us Store in Springfield. They are located at: 770 Baltimore Pike, Springfield PA 19064. I love being able to get the photos taken and do shopping at the same time. The studio is small, but they take nice photos. They also offer specials and packages. You can walk in, call ahead or book an appointment online. Their website is here: http://www.kiddiekandids.com/
If you are looking for a more budget friendly photo experience, consider the photo studio inside of Target. They are located at: 857 Baltimore Pike Springfield, PA 19064. The Target portrait studio is small. They do accept walk in customers, but I've found you always need an appointment to avoid a long wait. Around the holidays, they get booked up very fast! They have no sitting fees and offer portrait packages starting around fifteen dollars. Their website is here: www.Target.com
For another budget photo experience, consider Walmart. Our local Walmart located at: 50 North Macdade Blvd Glenolden, PA 19036 offers a kids portrait studio. Their studio reminds me of Target's. It is small, but offers a decent experience if you are looking for cute photos on a budget. You can visit their website here: www.Walmart.com
If you want to take portraits yourself, stage your photo area using a sheet for a background color and snap away with your digital camera. You can upload the prints to www.Walgreens.com and then pick them up at the store located at: 2 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064
Whatever option you choose, be sure to capture those memories with photos. Children grow up so fast and it's nice to be able to look back when they were young!
