Five Playstation 2 Series that Should Be Enhanced for Playstation 3

Otter
Sony recently announced that God of War and God of War II will be re-released on the Playstation 3 with enhanced features like improved graphics and added trophies support. The God of War Collection is coming out this holiday season on one Blu-Ray disc. The announcement also opens up to the opportunity for many publishers and developers to bring enhanced Playstation 2 games to the Playstation 3. Here are five Playstation 2 series that should be enhanced for the Playstation 3.

Devil May Cry
Many consider the original Devil May Cry as the forefather of 3D action games. This is because many games in the genre today have taken some elements from the Playstation 2 title. Thus, the Devil May Cry Trilogy still holds up well today. With the addition to trophies support in the hypothetical Playstation 3 enhanced versions, many hardcore gamers will come back for more action just for bragging rights.

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus
When the God of War Collection was announced for the Playstation 3, many hardcore gamers instantly drool at the possibility of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus being enhanced as well. The two titles are some of the most artistically beautiful games on the Playstation 2. A high-definition enhancement along with a better frame rate will definitely give the two classic games a big boost in terms of visuals and gameplay.

Jak/Sly/Ratchet and Clank
While Sony has no official mascot, they do have plenty of strong candidates with the Jak, Sly and Ratchet & Clank platforming series. Each Playstation 2 series provides a different take to the genre and would be welcomed on the Playstation 3, which lacks platforming games. While any visual enhancement would be nice, it is the trophy support that will add plenty of replayability to the already excellent platforming titles.

Zone of the Enders
The first Zone of the Enders title is best known for being packed-in with the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo. Even so, the giant mech series (especially the sequel) managed to build a strong following due to its fast-paced flashy battles. The two Zone of the Enders games already look incredible. With high-definition visuals and 60 frames per second enhancements, the great games will be even better on the Playstation 3.

Xenosaga
The Xenosaga series on the Playstation 2 composes of a group of solid role-playing games. The plot is spread out across three games and is very complicated. Thus, putting all three games on a single Blu-Ray disc on the Playstation 3 seems like a natural decision, especially considering that the system only has a handful of role-playing games. The added enhancements are just icing on the cake.

I think Jak/Sly/Ratchet and Clank is over rated. I think something that should be remade is some of the great Final Fantasy classic, which are amazing, but are very under rated even to the amount of people that play them! Personally, I think they should remake Final Fantasy X, which you might be like "Final Fantasy VII" was better and was like the GAME for the PS, but for the PS2 it was like the seventh highest game sold, I think, but surely was probably the greatest game ever made for the PS2. personally I also love God of War, but that is over rated also, sorry to break the new too you. But, off the subject of PS2 game that should be remade, I do think Final Fantasy VII should be remade, I haven't played it fully, I've played it, it was amazing, I just couldn't stand the graphics. I think they were thinking of remaking this game, or still are considering it. Well if you have any remakes to my comment please email me at whyuwhat2know@hotmail.com

I hope people don't get too over excited over the GoW pack (in terms of tech). I myself am looking forward, but I hope people don't expect something on the level of Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3) from the original Xbox version.
