For those that want to experience animal close-up and personal, the San Diego Zoo has special tours and programs for groups and individuals, such as campouts and private tours.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park (Formally San Diego Wild Animal Park)

This is the Zoo in San Diego that you can see animals in unique habitats, such Condor Ridge, Journey Into Africa and Hidden Jungle. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is off of Highway 78, and is an 1800-acre wild animal park, which includes a 900-acre native species reserve. Through the Kilamjaro Safari Walk, you can go on a two-mile walk viewing many beautiful attractions.

LEGOLAND California

LEGOLAND California, located in Carlsbad, CA, is more than just looking at built LEGO sculptures. They have a water park, an aquarium, and different holiday events throughout the year. LEGOLAND Water Park gives kids the opportunity to build their own raft by building it out of soft LEGO bricks in the designs they want, then sliding down the water slide in it. LEGOLAND educational programs include building robotic figures, working with LEGO gears, and learning about structures. For groups such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Campfire Boys & Girls, there are even programs to earn a LEGOLAND fun patch.

SeaWorld San Diego is where people in San Diego go for fun marine-life shows. Shows include the famous Shamu, jumping dolphins, sea lions, and other animals. USS Midway Museum

A great way to experience history live. The Midway Museum is in downtown San Diego, and you can spend the day or as a group, even spend the night! They have guided tours and self-guided tours where you can explore the different public areas at leisure. The audio tour is where you can listen to actual people who experienced life on the Midway.
