Fall of 2010 should be an interesting experience for the pop fan. Summer songs are going to be put to bed and the big tracks to push holiday music sales are going to start hitting radio. Songs intended to launch early 2011 music releases are also going to be hitting the airwaves. Some of the biggest treats pop fans have to look forward to this fall are:

Brandon Flowers Has Solo Successs

Brandon Flowers from The Killers will be having his solo album debut on September 16, 2010 in the United States and on September 6, 2010 in the United Kingdom. The album is titled Flamingo and the first single "Crossfire" had a music video featuring Oscar winner Charlize Theron. The second single is sure to hit radio right in the middle of fall. Flamingo likely will not reach the album sales level of The Killers as a group, but it is sure to be a moderate success for Flowers.

Taylor Swift's New Album Scoops Up Awards

This is an easy headline as Taylor Swift seems to be scooping up awards for breathing at this point in her career. If for no reason other than the momentum Fearless created for the country singer, Speak Now is sure to be a hit. The first single "Mine" is already a fan favorite on YouTube and a #1 single. Speak Now will be in stores on October 25, 2010.

Lady Gaga's New Single Burns Up the Charts

Lady Gaga's single "Dance in the Dark" is sure to be a fall hit for the star. "Dance in the Dark" was a strong album cut from the beginning and is the perfect way to send out The Fame Monster. Lady Gaga could also surprise fans towards the end of the year with a single from her next album. She told Rolling Stone that her new album would hit in early 2011, depending on how early new music and a new look could be on the horizon for Gaga.

Katy Perry Continues to Dominate Radio Airplay

Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" seems to be picking up the same strong radio airplay from the start that her summer smash song "California Girls" enjoyed. Both singles are currently sitting pretty on the Billboard Top 100 singles chart, and Katy's album Teenage Dream could snag the top spot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart!

Christina Aguilera Redeems Herself with Burlesque

Another great fall headline will likely be Christina Aguilera reintroducing herself to the public in a manner that reminds them of why they fell in love with her to start with - her voice, at its best but not overplayed. Burlesque promises to be an interesting film featuring a great supporting cast that will allow Christina Aguilera to show her best side while putting the mess that is Bionic behind her. Expect a soundtrack song to be a fall smash!

These five headlines are just a sample of the great stories we can expect from pop music this fall.
