A good leader is a treasured thing. There are only so many truly good leaders, while many others are leaders who believe they are good, they lack some of the most essential qualities of leading a group of people. Leaders will always be in demand, so if you were born a terrific leader or make yourself into a great leader then you should have plenty of people looking to get ahold of you. What qualities should you have if you are a good leader?

1. Determination- A good leader must have the determination and the strong work ethic to push forward with things even when they seem impossible. The rest of the group will be looking to the leader, so the leader must always show that attitude of never giving up and being determined to get the project completed on time.

2. Innovative mind- Leaders have to be able to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems that are bound to occur at some point. Innovation is the key to getting ahead of the competition in today's world, and it is often up to leaders to show their innovative spirit and put forth an idea that really sets you apart from the competition.

3. Walk the walk- A leader cannot simply talk a good game and expect the group to follow. A leader must be able to follow their own advice, or they will be seen as a hypocrite and no one will want to follow their words of wisdom. A leader leads mainly by actions and secondly by words, and it is a good idea to always keep that in mind.

4. Care about those in your group- A truly good leader will always genuinely care about the well being of every single person in their group. People don't want to follow someone who doesn't care about them or their life. Take an interest in everything people in your group are doing and show them you understand and care.

5. Confidence and humility- I know these two might not always go together, but in the case of a good leader they need to. You must be confident in order to lead successfully, but you also must always stay humble. A leader who loses their humility is a leader who is set to be bound to be humbled at some point in the future. Be confident and humble at the same time!
