Online communication is very easy. When using a keyboard, it's as simple as typing words and symbols to form sentences that convey your thoughts. When there's a complete breakdown in communication, you may find yourself exiled by others. This will happen if you are known for being a troll, and doing any or all of the following.
Typing prolly instead of probably.
Contrary to what you would like everyone to believe, "prolly" isn't really a word. Is your heart broken? All time time you thought being conversationalist in an online environment was as easy as randomly pressing a bunch of keys, in a sequence that would only create words about 35% of the time.Tsk tsk tsk. There's more to it than that, young grass hopper.
Caps lock button.
Most people tend to utilize a little feature i like to call the Ignore button when they see a post written in all caps. It's annoying, it's hard to read compared to normal posts(mostly because of the misspellings and excessive use of explanation marks that normally litter those posts), and it's seen as the internet equivalent of yelling.
typing in all caps is stupid on message boards, it's stupid in MMO's, and it's down right lame if you actually run around yelling at people for no reason on a daily basis. It's just plain stupid, and deters me from giving a care about whatever it is you have to say. If you take offense to this article( because you fit the description), don't type your comment in caps lock. If you do so, It'll just prove my point.
All you type is Lol.
Are you really laughing out loud? Really? You are?I doubt it, because nothing funny has been typed. I sign onto Aim, give a friendly "Hey" as a way of saying "greet me back, then go mute if you have nothing intriguing to say", and the madness begins. It doesn't matter what the conversation consists on, "lol" will end up dominating regardless. Is it supposed to be a code word or something? Are you practicing a new form of Morse code? Oh my god, Are you in danger? Lol indeed...
You're a jerk.
Nothing you say has ever contributed to a conversation. All of your comments either involve unfunny jokes typed out in chat speak, or snarky and profanity laden remarks directed at those who type in complete sentences.
You're not active.
can't tell if we have you pegged all wrong or not, because you tend to lurk around in the shadows instead of participating with everyone else. In Internet laymen's: You tend to lurk moar, when it's better to poast moar. Rawr.
