1. Running and Walking
Every morning I find running and walking for about half an hour very refreshing. It will definitely get your day started out on the right foot. Also, If you have a dog, you can take it with you on your walk. By doing this you could kill two birds with one stone: you would easily burn 200 calories as well as have completed the daily task of walking your dog !
2. Eating Right
Eating right will also help you burn calories. By having a solid breakfast you will eliminate your midday cravings for unhealthy snacks like chips, cookies etc. Also, try not to eat past 8 P.M. because you are less active at night, and your food will just sit there and turn into fat.
3. Sleeping
Believe it or not, people can burn calories in their sleep! If you exercise you build up muscle, and when you add muscle to your body, you're increasing your BMR (basal metabolic rate) - the number of calories you burn each day at rest. Just simple toning should do the trick.
4. Turn Down Your Heater
Even being cold burns calories. This is because your body uses calories in order to make you warm. According to HowStuffWorks.com, when you drink ice water, your body burns calories to raise the temperature of the ice water to your body temperature. If you drink the recommend 8 cups of water daily, you could easily burn 70 calories as well as cleanse your system. So next time you feel like turning up the heater, just think of the easy calories you could lose as well as well as how many dollars you could knock off your gas bill.
5. Breathing
According to Ayurveda, India's traditional health care system, and traditional Chinese Medicine, good digestion improves your metabolism. You can obtain good digestion by taking long deep breaths immediately after you eat and clearing your mind. This minimizes stress, which hinders your digestion.
Well, there you have it! Five simple daily exercises to help you lower your calorie count. This may not seem like much, but if you do this religiously you will see great improvements!
