Five Steps to the Perfect Valentines Day Gathering

Joshua Caviness
Valentines Day is one of the best holidays for showing someone how much you love them. Most people however, think that a holiday like this is only for two people to share.

I highly disagree with this pathetic dogma that has been placed on this great day. There are many ways that you can show everyone around you how much you love them. When you are done reading this I only hope that I can give you some decent ideas on how to incorporate a nice two person gathering with your family and friends.

The first thing you do is find a nice location. You need somewhere private. Like your own house or renting out a dance hall. Either one will work, but for now I will assume that you are using your personal house. It is the easiest and quickest way to set it up.

Second thing you need is food. Like a lot of other American holidays, Valentines Day is celebrated all around the world with great food and the comfort of those you love. The menu is best served with a small Italian feast. Spaghetti or chicken parmesan is great starting points. I consider this a great starting point because you have a lot of leeway with personal taste and like in most major cities there are many places that will cater a gathering like this one for rather cheep.

Thirdly, Setting up the food is a big key. So, to do this you must have a decent knowledge of who will attend and who will not. Begin by setting up a dance area, in the middle of the eating area works well. Use small personal tables but, set them close together so that one couple setting at a table can easily talk between tables to the other guests.

Fourth, soft ambient music works best for a holiday like this. Soft jazz or R&B tunes work well. Again this can be modified to personal tastes but, you do not want loud music at a time like this. The mood is better served with soft music.

Lastly, pick some great place to finish off the night, in front of a home theater works well. This gives each and every person there a chance to socialize, dance, or just set back with the loved one they came with.

I hope dearly that some of my experiences here will help out someone looking for a last minute Valentines Day idea.
