Five Telltale Signs that You Should End Your Relationship

The thought of being alone without a companion is a scary thought for many people. People haunted by the fear of isolation, intentionally stay in terrible relationships just so they will not have to experience the feeling of lonesomeness. Remaining in a relationship for the sake of comfort is delusional and detrimental to one's health. Sometimes it may be hard to discern a healthy relationship from a strained one. If you are unsure whether the relationship that you are in is healthy, you may want to take a look below. Below are five major signs that signal a relationship may be heading to a shaky mount.

1.You cry more than you laugh- Do you find yourself crying alone in your bedroom or in the bathroom or even at work because of something your partner has said or done to you? Do you find yourself having suicidal thoughts or thoughts of hurtful revenge towards your partner or anyone else because of this? Can you remember the last time you and your partner shared a moment of bliss and laughed together?

Sure relationships come with pain but the amount of pain should never overshadow the moments of happiness especially if you are just in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Boyfriend/ girlfriend relationships differ much from marriages. In marriages it is the duty for husband and wife to stand in the face of tests, and trials and tribulations. It is expected for man and wife to share a substantial amount of pain. Boyfriend/girlfriend relationships should be much lighter; there should not be much dilemma in them. If you find that you are in a constant state of dejection in this type of relationship, you can bet that your marriage will be just as rocky if not worse. The person you decide to be with should make you feel more good than bad.

2.You have been hit- If you have ever been hit by your partner then it is time to leave. Even if you are the man and your partner is a female. If she has hit you this is not a good sign. There is a double standard when it comes to girls hitting guys but a relationship should be built off of respect and hitting is an outright sign of disrespect. If you can not resolve your issues with words then perhaps the paring of you and your partner is not good. It is safe to say when a person hits you once they are bound to do it again and the next time the hitting may escalate into something even more severe.

3.You can not go anywhere without your partner lingering over you- It is good to be close in a relationship but being overly clingy is a sign of insecurity, obsession and mistrust. If you want to go out and your partner always wants to come, there could be a great chance that he or she is showing an obsessive nature which is not good. This type of behavior can turn into manipulation. In a relationship two individuals should be able to part and meet again even if they have mutual friends. It is definitely not a good sign if you can not go anywhere without your partner following or questioning you.

4.You notice your relationship causing a division between family and close friends. Take a look around. When was the last time that you have you seen or talked to family and friends? Has it been a few days, a few weeks, a few months, or years? If family and friends were once an integral part of your life and are no longer around you should ask yourself what has happened. Has your partner discouraged you from hanging with friends and talking to family? If so, your partner could be exuding signs of a manipulator. Manipulators slowly dismantle their victims' walls of comfort so that their victims rely solely on them as their main source of comfort and support. Manipulators want to remain the only one in control of their victims' thoughts and feelings. Manipulators are also skilled in twisting their victims' perception so that they began thinking negative thoughts of their loving and supportive family and friends. The victim then slowly starts to cuts themselves off from their family and friends.

5.You constantly ask yourself what you did do wrong- Do you often fight or have this feel weird feeling in your relationship and figure it is all because of something that you have done? Do you constantly blame yourself for everything wrong in the relationship?

When it comes to any type of dilemma the one at fault is usually never just a single person but rather an additional person or group of people. The causation of dilemmas usually stem from the events between two or more people. If your partner makes it feel as though you are constantly the blame for everything that it is wrong in the relationship and refuses to admit their wrongdoing then it may be time to leave. There is not much progression in relationships where the blame is placed on one single person. You will find yourself a miserable person if you stay in a relationship as such. However, in some instances one person can be the cause of an ongoing problem in a relationship. If you are that person you will feel it in your gut and it will be up to you to change. It would be wise for you to change to salvage your relationship.
