In a previous article I wrote about the one thing you can do to end procastination. This article will deal with five tips to get things done.

We live in a society that demands us to complete multiple tasks at the same time. But sometimes this becomes difficult and we find ourselves wandering and unfocused. You need an action plan to get back to work and get thing done. Here are five tips that will undoubtedly help you out ( They have worked for me)

Start doing something

Starting is usually the bottleneck of the process of completing an assignment. I know it sounds too easy but it is true. Once you start, you will complete the task. But, if you do not start something you will not. So, start doing something and you will actually accomplish something

Clear the clutter

I have been at my desk with all those files and reports knowing I have things to do but find myself wandering without achieving anything important. I m sure you have had similar situations. What I usually do is clear my desk, organize my files, and keep only important things on my desk. In such instances I feel that cleaning the clutter helps me get things done

Plan you daily task

You probably know this and may sound like a cliche but I find myself time after time that although I know I have to plan I usually do not do it. On those days when I have not planned anything I get less things done. When I do a daily plan I get more tasks accomplished.

Do one thing at a time

Although our jobs and our life demand us to complete multiple tasks at the same time I have found out that it is best to complete one thing first and then continue to the next. There is a sense of self-congratulation associated with this procedure that will undoubtedly help you get more things done.

Just do it!

That is my personal motto (you will see it in my profile, actually is Just Write it!!) and it applies here too. When you feel wandering and with the sense of not getting things donesay to yourself Just do it! It will help you get back on track to your tasks at hand.

Use these simple five tips and I am sure you will get more things done on a daily basis. Theay are very simple, I know, but they work. I would love to hear your comments about what you do to get things done.
