How Could You Win?

Big Brother 12 is rapidly coming to a close and most people are pulling for someone. Watching these types of reality shows over the years have revealed a troubling truth - what is going to get you far in life will not necessarily get you far in the game of Big Brother. Big Brother is a dog eat dog type of game, with only the most manipulative and sneaky players finding their way to a quick payday. Here are ten strategy tips that could help most anyone win Big Brother when followed correctly. Keep in mind that some of the strategies may contradict each other, but such is the nature of Big Brother. No two players will have success with the same strategy.

Big Brother Strategy Tip Number One - Win Everything

Winning everything is a very dangerous strategy. In Big Brother 12, Brendon and Rachel nearly pulled off the perfect game of winning everything. They messed up in many other parts of the Big Brother 12 game, however. They revealed their showmance way too early. Had they kept it to themselves, then they could have kept winning HOH competitions and survived on those weeks where they lost. Because they advertised and even annoyed everyone with their showmance, they literally had to win everything. Nobody could keep up that pace and Rachel was ousted early. Brendon tried to win out, but the numbers caught up to him.

Big Brother Strategy Tip Number Two - Win Nothing

Winning nothing seems to be a viable strategy for winning Big Brother as well. The key here is that you have to have a strong alliance formed as well. Look at Lane and Enzo. They have won virtually nothing in Big Brother 12, yet they are surviving to the end virtually. Enzo in particular stands out as he has literally won absolutely nothing. Still, he has to be considered a good bet to win if he gets to the end. He has upset nobody in the house really, and still has a decent chance to win Big Brother 12.

Big Brother Strategy Tip Number Three - Pick Your Wins Carefully

This is the most common and likely safest strategy to win Big Brother. The best Big Brother competitors win when it matters, and fall back when it does not. If you win every single competition, then the Big Brother house will be gunning for you soon enough. Winning here and there is the best way to go. Brittany and Hayden are great examples of this in Big Brother 12. They win when they have to, and are content to let the others take the lead when necessary.

Big Brother Strategy Tip Number Four - Make Alliances Early

The Brigade is the perfect example of early alliances working. There are plenty of other alliances that fall apart early regardless of when they are forged. This means that you must pick other players that have a similar plan. People always think that alliances early are bad ideas and sometimes they are. The key, however, is that alliances are a must if you are going to survive. Pick them carefully, and you can ride them to the very end.

Big Brother Strategy Tip Number Five - Keep Alliances Secret

It is not enough to forge alliances early - you must also keep them completely secret. The reason the Brigade worked so well in Big Brother 12 was because they flew under the radar throughout the early part of the game. Brendon and Rachel were the opposite and were targets because of it. The Brigade always met in secret and used communication through different channels to spread the word. Matt strayed and the alliance knew it just in time to eliminate him. When you keep it secret, then you have a powerful alliance and a good chance to win Big Brother.
