Five Tricks for Looking Beautiful Without Spending a Dime!

The advertising world tries to tell us that we need to spend money to be beautiful. But the truth is not only that beauty lies within, but that you truly know beauty lies within. When you are able to tell the world that you know what you are worth, in action and word...your beauty will shine without a dime spent!

Stand Tall
Personally, I was 6 inches taller than every friend I had all through middle school. I slouched, of course, not even realizing how unappealing an unconfident girl was. When I got to high school there were tall seniors. I went from feeling like a wildflower (rejected by every guy who wanted the blonde, blue-eyed, petite number with boobs) to being the swoon of every senior. I was totally ill equipped. But somewhere in there, I began walking taller (welcome confidence._ When I got to college, it was worse! Guys were everywhere for the choosing because I walked tall. Bottom line, I knew what I was worth.

Now, I am a mother and have three girls (and one boy.) The girls that are most ill-fitting in middle school, I hold a great torch for. They learn to know themselves in the face of rejection. My girls flattered in middle school begin to alter their actions at the mercy of a boy too early. Blessed are those rejected young. They learn who they are...and learn to walk tall for the right reasons - looking to who they really are before others begin to define it before they have a foothold.

If you walk tall, you are seen as confident, period. So walk it out! Walk tall....whether you feel it or not. It will pay off. Men will think, "Why is she so proud? What does she have to walk tall about?" And they will think, "I want to know her!" They think this because there is a great beauty and attractiveness to someone that knows what they are worth. This person who walks tall, knows who they are.

As a woman, you have to think of how you view men. Think of men you see that slouch...and slink around. They are almost scary. Now, think of the men you know that walk like a peacock, with their shoulders back and their chest out. These men radiate confidence.

People like confident people. They want to follow anyone that knows who they really are. So ladies, if you want to be beautiful without a product, hold your shoulders back, your chin high and your chest out. Be the peacock - with radiant colors - that you know you are!

Act Like You Don't Care
The single best thing a young girl or guy can do to attract the opposite sex is to act like they truly don't care. Do not mistake this for being mean. You don't want to be mean. Instead, simply act like they are the guy you have known your whole life and feel wholly comfortable with.

Do not act like they are about to kiss you and you are nervous. Act like you expect them to kiss you and they will. Even better, act like they would be lucky to kiss you.

You may say, "Acting is not for me. I want to be who I am." Okay, fine. Be who you are. But do not be surprised or disappointed when the girls acting a little haul the guy you wanted to prom/the alter. It is not a tease, or being unreal...it is being yourself - but better, because you know what it takes to lure a man to a point of knowing you. That is all you have to do...lure. And this confidence is beautiful. It is an art to be yourself, yet know he needs to be lured.

Toss/Touch Your Hair
This is timeless and also offered clearly in the movie Clueless. You may think it is clueless toss or touch your hair, but men cannot escape the enticing vixen. If you are the hearty type who goes for reality, don't underestimate the attraction of a confident hair flip or stroke of the hand through your hair.

Men love hair. They are attracted to the hair of a beauty queen. It is true that many men see past hair, but if you marry and cut off your hair - I contend there will always be a part of your husband that wants it back.

If you have it, flaunt it or draw attention to it subtly by running your hand through your hair or by flipping it in his presence. This is a beautiful thing to do. It is the apex of Mrs. America and the stereotypical beauty queen doesn't have short hair. If you have short hair, don't fret. Hands through the hair still send the same alluring message.

Cross Your Legs
As simple as the act may sound, the crossing of your legs signifies, softly, that you are a lady and it makes you beautiful. It reveals that you are in touch with your feminine side and it confirms that you know what a lady is and expect to be treated like one.

In addition, crossing your legs is a guarding of sorts and presents a barrier or challenge. Men love a challenge and it makes you very beautiful to send the message that you are worth a fight.

Show Interest
The final bit of advice is something I actually read somewhere once. It said that people love you for the way you make them feel...about themselves!

I am married and have been for 10 years, but I remind myself constantly that my husband loves me for the way I make him feel....about HIM. It is a crazy thing, but showing interest in someone's hobbies or cares shows that you actually care. You want to aim to be that one person in the world that says, "I really care about YOU!" This is what ultimately makes you beautiful.

In the end, beauty doesn't have to do with a single product, for skin - or your body. It has absolutely nothing to do with your clothes. It has everything to do with love. How much do you love yourself? How much do you love life? How much can you give to others - expecting nothing in return. It is then, that you are truly beautiful.
