There are various dinner and hotel deals in NYC for tourists or residents, but all of the below options could work for either of these demographics. Since Valentine's day falls the Sunday before President's Day this year, there is a great opportunity to spend the weekend in NYC.

Museum of Modern Art. There were be two incredible installments on February 14, 2010 to see. The first, and romantic one, is Monet's Water Lilies. A full group of the French impressionist painter, Claude Monet's, late paintings, including the mural-sized triptych Reflections of clouds on the water-Lily Pond, c. 1920 on the second floor of the museum. The second exhibition is that of filmmaker Tim Burton, which is only open until April 26, 2010. The museum will be open from 10:30 am- 5:30 pm on Valentine's day and costs $20 for adults, $16 for seniors 65+, and $12 for students with I.D.

Long Island Wine Country Wine Lovers Valentines Day VIP Tour. For $149 per person you get an all inclusive trip to three wineries on Long Island. The fee includes transportation on a luxury motorcoach, pick up at two locations in Manhattan (in SOHO and at Grand Central Station) as well as in Nassau and Suffolk Counties (Hicksville, Commack/Dix Hill, and Farmingville) along the way. The trip, which is limited to only 54 people, will stop at three North Folk wineries, and for a gourmet restaurant lunch at Amaro's Osteria and Wine bar, where a three course lunch is served. Champagne, chocolate, and at the last winery a cheese tasting will be offered prior to departure.

Couples Partner Yoga and Thai Massage Workshop by Mary Aranas and Becca Krauss. For only $75 per couple, this evening event includes two hours of yoga stretches, breathing (pranayama), inversions, and Thai massage lessons. Afterwards, you may feed your significant other, spouse, or friend wine and chocolates. The evening ends at 10 pm, so this is a great additional activity post dinner or show to add into your day.

The Ballet. Swan Lake will be at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts at the David H. Koch Theatre at 3 p.m. Music by Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky Choreography by Peter Martins, after Marius Petipa, Lev Ivanov, and George Balanchine. Tickets start at $20.

Valentine's Day at the Plaza. The iconic fifth avenue hotel has a valentine's package available between February 11- February 15, for $965 a couple. It includes a couple massage, a bottle of champagne and fresh berries, a full American breakfast in bed, chocolates, and a nights stay in one of the Plaza's guestrooms or suites.
