Green Beans
When someone told me that they eat raw greens as a snack, I was a little bit surprised. The idea sounded strange, but since I love green beans, I decided to try it. Green beans dipped in hummus are absolutely delicious! This crunchy green vegetable can be a great choice for anyone who is trying to diet.
Baby Corn
It is often said that corn, including baby corn, does not offer any nutritional value. That said, I tend to believe that snacking on this vegetable is healthier than eating potato chips. Corn is also known to be high in fiber, which means it will keep you full longer. Baby corn can make a great addition to your plate of raw veggies.
Cherry Tomatoes
Many of us add cherry tomatoes to our salads, but never think to eat them when dipping vegetables at snack or lunch time. If you love tomatoes, however, you are likely to enjoy eating tomatoes dipped in hummus or low-fat dip for vegetables. This raw vegetable, which is a great source of vitamin C, will offer a tangy taste for dipping.
Bell Peppers
If you love adding a lot of color to your meals, bell peppers can make a great addition to your diet. Red, green, yellow and orange bell peppers are all tasty options for everyone who wants a crunchy snack. Bell peppers are also a good source of vitamins and nutrients, making them a healthy choice for any dieter's plate.
Cucumbers
Cucumber is a water-based vegetable that is rich in vitamins. If you are looking for a low-calorie vegetable to add to your snack bag, cucumbers taste great when dipped in a low-fat ranch dressing dip. When eaten in combination with other raw vegetables, this can be a great snack for dieters to consider.
These are just a few of the many raw vegetables that you may want to consider eating raw. There are plenty of others which can make great choices. Some other raw veggies to take into consideration include radishes, asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, peapods, portabella mushrooms and zucchini. Be sure to always read the labels if you are opting for a vegetable dip. Also always make sure that you rash vegetables well before eating them.
