1. BEING GRATEFUL
Although you may not have achieved all of your goals and maybe you're not where you thought you should be at this point in your life, but you're still here. When is the last time that you have looked at what you do have, instead of what you don't have. If we can learn to appreciate the little things in life the big things will soon follow. Take this day to be thankful for everything in your life, your health, family, home, job, car and the list could go on and on.
2. PRAYER
Having prayer in your life is so very important, and it will help you to have a whole new outlook on everything in your life. If you have not read your bible or talk to God in a while, it's not too late, you can start right now and he's already listening. When your feet hit the floor, start thanking God for another day, and no matter how stressful the day ahead is going to be you can ask God to help you through and you know what he will. START A PRAYER LIFE TODAY!
3. SELF CONTROL
We all have self control and we all have the ability to use it. Life is not easy but we are here and we want to be here so lets make the best of it. We have lived long enough to know that there will be obstacles in our lives and that things will happen. Having self control will allow you to deal with any situation that may come your way. Learn to talk things out without using profanity and saying things that you will regret later. You have the power to control what will or will not upset you.
4. PATIENTCE
Sometimes things in our lives can seem to be so overwhelming, it could be as simply as us developing a little more patience. We sometimes get angry because someone may be driving slowly or we may fly off the handle with our children, but remember that you were once a child and how can children learn if they never make any mistakes and as far as the elderly driving slow, that will be you someday. So take this day to learn to empathize with others, put yourself in there shoes. PRACTICE A LITTLE PATIENTCE TODAY!
5. BE OPTIMISTIC
The way you see things in life is powerful. When you get up every morning tell yourself that today is going to be a great day. Having a positive day is in your control, things will happen, but the way that you choose to deal with what happens determines whether or not your day will be good. What ever comes your way today, you will not let it destroy your whole day, make whatever decision that needs to be made, and simply continue on with your great day.
Having a positive attitude is truly a state of mind, so choose to have a great day each and every day. If a bad thought get in your mind, instantly block it out. Take this day to be grateful for what you have, develop a prayer life, have a little more self control and patience and have a optimistic outlook for each and everyday.
