Five Ways to Instantly Get Rid of House Clutter

When placing a house up for sale many home sellers ignore the clutter in the house. This is one of the biggest mistakes that the home seller could make. In fact, dismissing house clutter might interfere with finding a buyer. How can the buyer see the beauty and potential of the house if every nook of the home is packed with figurines, pictures, plants, magazines, old stacks of newspapers, books, and too much furniture. It is easy to let the clutter get out of control and take over the entire house. Here are five ways to instantaneously get rid of house clutter.

Get Organized - Set down and write a list of important tasks to do each day to keep the clutter at a minimum. This might be as simple as washing and stacking away dishes. Throwing out the trash, cleaning rooms.

Family Project - Don't attempt to get the clutter under control without the help and support of the entire household. Get the children and your spouse involved. Assign each member of the family a specific chore to do each day to keep the house clutter free and organized. For example, one spouse is assigned to sort the mail and discard mail that is read while another spouse is assigned to walk through the house collecting and recycling newspapers and magazines. Kids are assigned to collect their toys and place them in storage after play time.

Recycle - Keep recycling containers inside and out of the house to reduce junk buildups. Toss all old newspapers, magazines, circulars, mail, bottles, and other recyclables into the container. Recycle old furniture and toys by donating to a local charity. This should immediately clean up a considerable amount of household clutter.

Closets- Over flowing closets certainly are not very attractive to prospective buyers. Keep the clutter to a minimum by going through your closet monthly or weekly. There are probably a lot of clothes in the closet that you have not worn in a year or more. They are simply taking up space. Declutter the closet by donating older clothing to a local charity.

Kitchen & Bathrooms - Remove and discard all he clutters on the kitchen counters and bathroom vanities. They detract from the rest of the room. Buyers will be focusing on all the objects and misses the room possibilities. Go through drawers and cabinets. Discard all the junk and unused items.

Follow the tips here and you will be amazed at the difference it makes. Now, your house should look much more organized and clutter free.
