Five Wine Colors for Home Décor

Opt for Wine Color Home Décor to Give Personality to Rooms

Home décor creates a personalized living space that is outgoing, bright and even sterile. What happens when your home décor needs new looks, or needs to be refreshed? Do you start over, or add décor that brightens the look of the room? There are several alternatives to buying all new furniture such as wine colored home goods.

Wine colors are vibrant, and also in warm neutral shades. Wine colors found in nature have a full spectrum of shades from pale yellow to deep brown. These palettes add dimension to rooms, and are found in home décor pieces from pillows to paints.

White or rosé wall choices

Your walls are the backdrops for any home, but white walls can seem bland and cold, especially if the undertone is blue. Opt for white wine colors such as white or rosé. White and rosé tones are light, and highlight rooms with bright, subtle hues. Use these in smaller rooms, or if you're not sure of the theme for a specific room yet. These neutral shades will easily mesh with the décor you choose.

Yellow shades for a neutral palette

Yellow wine isn't always that bright canary yellow you may think of. There are many shades of yellow wine that work as neutral palettes in home décor pieces. For instance, table clothes and napkins in shades of yellow wine can be added to other rich wine colors in your dining area.

Burgundy wine for strong effects

Burgundy adds character to any room. The color is strong, and only takes splashes to create lasting effects. Pillows and throw blankets are common items to find in burgundy colors, but repainted wall décor such as heavy mirrors and picture frames add personality to the room.

Sangria shades to create depth in home decor

Traditionally, Sangria is a fruit filled red wine, but it is also made with white wine. This creates limitless Sangria color options for home décor.

Bright, fruity rose, pinkish-red and red shades create depth when layered in multiple blankets across a bed. Maybe your reading chair needs a facelift? Purchase a Sangria slip cover to give your favorite chair a new look.

Ox blood for a focal wall

Ox blood tones are deep and dark and used as accents in home décor. Bold ceramic lamps in ox blood add spice to any room, but ox blood makes a substantial wall statement. An entire ox blood painted room can make it look small or too dark. Instead, try an ox blood focal wall behind your bed. It will keep the room's look large, but with an intriguing back drop. Incorporate lighter wine colors to create a marble pattern if this deep color is too daring.
