Fixing Your Pets' Cuts Without the Bill

S. Morris
I have seen a dog get a pretty good size cut. Now when it happened. I was worried about my dog. When the reality finally set in, I just started thinking of the hundred or thousands of dollars it would cost me to have it fixed.I thought how can I do this? I have bills and kids. How could I afford this? Worry was all I could do. My poor dog couldn't sit and suffer. How long should I wait to get him looked at. This cut looked like there would be no way getting around the vet. I worried it would get infected. I did not know if he would be okay. I didn't know what to do.

Well I knew we needed to figure something out. Then one day , shortly after, I was at my moms house and I was talking with my mom and sister. They felt bad for my dog, but also had a way to cheaply fix it. They told me of a way they fixed my sisters horse. When she got cut on some barbed wire. They could not have a vet fix they horse's leg either. Although neither situation was not serious enough of a problem. Like a broken leg or extreme blood. So they gave me the instructions how to do it.

First clean it with peroxide. Slowly pour a small amount over the wound. Wait for it to clean it. Then let it dry a bit.

Next you will use some cotton balls to put on some ointment., like Neosporion. Which I know most have some in a first aide kit or somewhere around there house. I have like three. If not, then you could pick a cheap tube at the store. Be gentle and slow. So you do not upset your pet.

Then you can place a womens pantie liner over it, gently. With some gauze wrap it around the animals leg or body. Firm and snug. But not too tight.

Finally, make sure you change it often. Make sure you keep an eye on it. Looking for any sign of infection. Which should not happen if you keep clean, but it could happen. Which could make it to were you have to go to the vet anyway.

I know this helped my cute little family member. He is all healed and happy now. I can bathe him and hold him now. Which I was not able to do with that cut on him. I hope the best for you and your pet. I found that it is a cheap way to heal the minor wounds on my pets. My worry went away and I saved hundreds of dollars. Something everyone needs now a days!
