Fizzball PC Game Review

Fizzball Breaks Age Gap

Ghost Writer
If you like brick breaking games and animals, then you will love Fizzball. It combines the dynamics of brick breaking games with the look of Old McDonald's farm. The game is suitable for everyone young and old. If you are a trophy lover, as most kids are, then you will be very pleased with the amount and types of trophies. There seems to be a trophy for anything that you can imagine.

At the beginning of the game you are asked to choose between adult or child level, with the differing factor that children receives an unlimited supply of Fizzballs. A Fizzball is the ball that you use to play each course. It starts out as a small ball, but as you pick up nuts, money and apples, the ball begins to grow. You will pick up animals into the ball when the ball is big enough to hold them. Another thing about the big ball is it can crash through several obstructions at once with no further modification.

Instead of breaking bricks, you break fences, barrels, crates and other items. Some of the items must be broke in order to reach all the animals, such as breaking bird's perches so that they can be reached. Other items are not supposed to be broke, like the barrels of toxic waste.

The game does begin to get a little monotonous, and the weather changing does help some, but the little bonus games help a lot. The games vary, but two of my favorites was the see how many birds you can save before the times up, and the try not to hit the bird perches.

Of course, Fizzball has power-ups just like in brick breaking games. The weather fan is one that you have without catching a certain item. It just recharges itself in a sidebar, and when it is charged you can blow the Fizzball around with a strong breeze. Other item power-ups are large bouncer, freeze rays, speedballs and slowdowns and bags of money.

The money is important because you must have money in order to proceed through the game. One of the ways you need the money is to pay for the ferry to take you to the new islands. There is three islands, and you can choose to start on anyone of them, but you can't leave once you start without ferry passage.

This is definitely a game that children can play. It is right on their level with the animals and the noises they make when hit with the Fizzball. And you can go wash dishes instead of trying to teach them the game because it is so simple to play.
