Have you ever experienced dusk settle in as it embraces an ocean horizon on a summer evening? You never forget a magnificent vista such as this.
Though flamboyant in color, there is something nurturing about dusk at the end of the day.
My "purple Haiku" describes the heightened sensory awareness of witnessing nature so uncomplicated.
Dusk ruptures purple
Tinge of lilac, pink and plum
Summer evening's soul

Wonderful job.
Very nice Haiku.
Great job on this one!
Good job and congrats on being featured on AC's main page!
Kathy, among the best I've read! Good Luck! I've seen "dusk rupture purple" over the land from coastlines, prairies, and Colorado mountains...the waves, gulls, peaks, and fields are all unforgettable, deep delights when found.
Love this one! Good luck!
Beautiful poem and a very lovely picture to accompany it! :-)
Sunsets are one of my favorite things. You described their beauty perfectly in 17 syllables!
Saw the title, had to come read it, then realized I already had. And I liked it all over again! :)
