Flameless Candles: Are They Really Better?
With Candle Flames Presenting a Potential Safety Hazard, More People Are Going Flameless
Not everyone likes these kinds of candles because they aren't 'real.' However, for homes with pets or young children, these are by far the safest option. Knocking one over never results in a fire or hot wax being spilled onto unsuspecting skin. The worst that could happen is that the batteries could come out.
That does pose a risk of ingestion from small children or pets, but it doesn't pose a risk of burning a person's skin or destroying a home through fire. Real candles that are lit and produce fire certainly have their place, of course, because they offer beauty, grace, and elegance to many areas of the home and to all kinds of occasions.
They're romantic, as well, and they're often needed in areas of the country where the power goes out frequently during bad storms. With that in mind, there's no reason why the flameless candles cannot offer the same kinds of options.
The batteries in flameless candles last for a long time, and you can take them out when the candle will be stored for long periods, so that the batteries can be used for something else and so they won't corrode the battery compartment.
Flameless candles come in different sizes, colors, and scents, and there's no reason to think that they won't come in a style and look that's right for you. They're worth checking out for their safety and class, and they've come a long way. You can get them online, through some mail-order establishments, or at many chain retailers.
There was a stigma about flameless candles for a long time because they were 'fake' and people thought that they were cheap or inappropriate. That same stigma belonged to artificial plants for a while, too, because they weren't real and didn't grow. However, all of that has changed because of the improved quality of the flameless candles.
Now, more people see the quality and the benefits, as well as the safety and the convenience, and that makes them much more likely to give the candles a try. Once they see how well these candles work, they often won't go back to the traditional style of candle.
