Flash. It's great to cheer up your website a little bit, draw some attention and so on. It works nicely in small doses. Do not overuse it. It'll make your website look messy. Do not expect yourself to go on straight from the beginning. It'll take a little bit of practice for you to know how much to use, when to use and where to use it.

Conclusion : Do not use flash everywhere. It's nice for some things, but useless for others.

Flash is great for a lot of things, which you want to draw the attention to. You may want to use flash in your banners, it's a great way of emphasizing what your website is and what it does.

The flash navigation bar is also a widely used tool on websites: The better your website is designed, the more your customers will be attracted to use your services. Remember : the more modern the website - the more modern the services.

Some disadvantages linked with the "too much" of flash.

-> Size.
Flash sure does absorb a lot of file size.If you start using to much flash, your visitors will have to download to much before they can visit your site. Try adding some simple music, a simple image. Even then you'll notice the difference. If someone with a low internet connection is connecting to your website he/she isn't going to see much of it.

->Flash Player? Compatible?
Some people do not even have flash player installed on their computer. What are they supposed to do when they decide to visit your website? Some of your visitor's might as well have a browser which isn't supporting flash. The amount of people not having flash player is considerably low, yet there still are some. You still have to worry about them so. One of the tricks to solve this is ; Use a JavaScript to detect whether your visitor has a flash player or not. If he doesn't redirect him to the flash player download page.

->Irritating.
When you're using to much flash, your webpage might become irritating for the visitor's. Resulting in that fact that they will not come back. Make sure that your site does not contain to much moving objects. It'll lead the attention of your visitor's to them, instead of to the actual point of your website. Don't include to much sound on your website. Think of ; Each time you move your mouse it makes this annoying "beep" noise. Would you enjoy this? Or these advertisements making a sound each time you mouse-over them? Don't they want to make you leave the website?
