Flashback Old Time Photos in Ocean City, Maryland

When you are vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, and you're walking up and down the boardwalk, you are constantly seeing repeat side stores and fun souvenir shops. One attraction that kept pulling me into every Ocean City location that my boyfriend and I passed was Flashback Old Time Photos. Grabbing your attention was the staff dressed in western and southern bell dresses with the shop entrance layered with framed photos of previous participants dressed in authentic costumes and historic props from the 1860s thru the 1940s.

After a little persuading and compromising, my boyfriend and I decided to get an old time photo taken. My boyfriend insisted on the western bar background with me wearing the southern bell gown and him dressed as a cowboy.

The staff hurriedly grabbed our costumes, which were not full costumes, but just the front of the outfit and sleeves with several ties to tie the costume around you to conform to your body and trick people into thinking that it was a full costume. My boyfriend's costume unfortunately was a combination of frontal costume and full costume. The cowboy costume had about six different layers to it. After we were in our costumes, they staff quickly posed us together and as singles for several different shots.

The staff was very friendly and professional, but it felt very rushed. It only took about ten minutes for the prints to download for us to review. They had taken four poses of each set. You are also given the option to choose what type of tint you would like for your photos, such as the antique look, black and white, or full color. After choosing a singles photo of each of us and a joint photo, the total came to about $40.

All and all I was very pleased with the end result of our very first set of professional photos, even though we felt very rushed through it. This was a really fun experience and it was a great opportunity to create a romantic memory in Ocean City, Maryland.

I highly recommend Flashback Old Time Photos as a fun, affordable, and romantic stop on your stroll down the boardwalk.
