Tye Martin
I have become numb to life.
I can' t feel pain, nor joy.
When I cry, the tears don't exist,
When I laugh, my body does not respond.
Don't touch me because I won't feel it.
I have become a shadow to life.
A faint image that you catch a glimpse of in the sun.
A reflection of what use to be.
Sometimes I wish life would stab me with passion again.
Kill me with colors, for I only see in black and white.
An empty capsule longing to be filled with the vitamins that keep you alive forever.
Living as a ghost, for I have become numb to life.

Simply put, an easily relatable piece of the common human condition of dispair, dismay or emptiness. I can relat from times in my past. However, thank God for His Restoration and refreshing. In deed a truly sobering work !!

I've definitely felt that before! What a pleasure it is to read this poem, though, and to feel its honesty! Great job!
