Aside from great homemade local favorites like ice cream flavors, "Kohala Macadamia Nut" and "Lilikoi(passion fruit) Cheese Cake" they have homemade waffle cones & waffle bowls that are very delicious. Their toppings are also another great highlight. You can choose from a variety of fresh fruits, candies and nuts. Some of the local favored toppings are fresh bananas and macadamia nuts.
If you are looking for something a little different, they have mochi ice cream which is a ball of mochi with ice cream filling. The mochi ice cream comes in various flavors including strawberry and melon. Other yummy ice cream treats include homemade smoothies, shakes, floats and malts.
During the morning hours, you can also get breakfast at Flavormania. They have a great breakfast menu with ham, cheese and egg sandwiches as well as pesto sprouts with tomatoes and avocado sandwiches for those who are looking for a healthy bite to eat.
If that's not enough, they also have an arcade! Both Kids and adults can play various video games and pin ball machines. For those who would like to sit down and play games, they have video machines on some of their tables. My Mother & I enjoy eating our ice cream while sitting down and playing video poker & sudoku. The best thing is that the games are very inexpensive. I honestly sat down and played for 30 minutes spending only $2.00! Even though there's no gambling in Hawaii and we can't really win like you do in Vegas, it's still a lot of fun for a couple of bucks!
Flavormania is located in the city of Haleiwa at the Haleiwa Shopping Plaza next to Citi Financial. When coming from the Waikiki direction on Kamehameha Hwy, it will be on your left side. If you are coming from the Turtle Bay Resort or the Windward Side of Oahu on Kamehameha Hwy, it will be on your right.
If you are planning to visit Hawaii, be sure to make a trip to the North Shore, and experience Flavormania's. It is a great experience for both adults and children. I hope you get the chance to enjoy it. Just think, if you are visiting, it may be the only time you get to taste real Homemade Hawaiian ice cream flavors!
