Flawless Powder Coverage: Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup

Sue Ellen K.
Many women are very uncomfortable with their skin, therefore turning to foundations and powder make up to hide any flaws, blemishes and imperfections. While running into an Estee Lauder cosmetics counter at my favorite store, I bought Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup on a whim. I paid 33.50 for 0.45 ounces of product. I was in a rush, but the Estee Lauder cosmetic specialist helped me choose the perfect shade for my skin. I ended up buying the Tawny color. There are many colors for Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup, which include: Shell, Ecru, Linen, Dusk, Desert Beige, Fresco, Soft Chestnut, Pebble, Ivory Beige, Tawny, Suede, Wheat, Shell Beige, Soft Tan, Bronze, Rich Cocoa, Truffle, Spice and Sand. The shades range through such an array of skin tones. Using the help of an Estee Lauder cosmetic specialist, you are sure to find your perfect shade.

Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup has a lot of positive attributes. Not only is it SPF 10, it is oil free, Dermatologist-tested, non-acnegenic, fragrance-free, and photo-friendly. It is a portable, 8 hour shade that boasts medium coverage that is buildable (you can layer powder to create more coverage). Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup's finish is semi-matte and natural. For those of us who have oil or combination skin, this product is perfect because not only does it hide any facial shine, it absorbs oil on the face to control shine better. This product comes with a high quality pad that evenly distributes the powder over your face.

The Estee Lauder cosmetics specialist informed me that she uses Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup herself, but over her foundation because she has a lot of scarring and blemishes on her face. I myself have combination skin, and minimal to no blemishes on my skin. I have used the Estee Lauder Brush-on Illuminator with success under the powder layer. I do no use foundation, but I can see this working great with any foundation, especially an Estee Lauder foundation of high quality. The coverage with just using Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup is great for what I need. I just have to pay close attention to blending along the jaw line.

To blend using the pad that comes with this powder, you have to put a good amount of powder on the pad and begin applying product from the middle of your face and work outward. This product applies very well and even, so you will have no problem achieving a flawless, natural look within a few minutes. It is important to remember that you get what you pay for. If you are buying a low quality to mediocre product at a drug chain store, you can expect a very obviously, powdery finish that does not blend well. But with Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup, you get an extremely beautiful, even, velvet-like finish that enhances your look, whether you are wearing it alone or with foundation. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for more beautiful, long wearing coverage in a powder cosmetic.
