Flea Markets and Thrift Stores in Jasper Alabama

Guide for Antique and Bargain Hunters in Walker County

LarrWayne Po
Flea markets and thrift stores are almost the same thing with a combination of new, used, and antique item possibilities. The main difference is ownership. Typically, thrift stores are affiliated with a church or some other nonprofit organization. Flea markets, most often, are made up of several individuals that rent booths from a store or property owner. The prime differences, in the customer's eyes, are some flea marketers will consider swapping merchandise for merchandise, or buying merchandise on the spot. Price negotiating with a private vendor is another possibility.

The majority of the stores on this list are not listed in the phone book. In addition, many local residents are not aware of all of these listings. The possibility of finding antiques at some of the locations listed is a definite. The stores are listed in an order so you can visit all of them without zig zagging and wasting time and gas. The list below only includes flea markets and the like that have a roof and electrical outlets available for testing merchandise prior to purchases. The list, at this time, attempts to include locations within a 5 mile radius of Jasper. If a flea market wants to be listed, contact the author or add a comment at the bottom of this article. Include name and location. Antique dealers are welcome to post their shop and location. Local listings only please.
