Flies in the Light Fixtures

Burning Up the Atmosphere

Bugs roasted on the outside
And just as toasty on the inside
Nothing vulnerable to the world
Everything shrouded in secrecy
A cloak of invincibility
War painted slathered on body
in shades of white, red,
and willing to make everyone else
covered in patriotic colored bruises
Salute to the insect flag
Respect it and the ability to make stomachs
churn in waves of nauseated grain
Hail to the Chief!
Hail indeed!
