*Flight*: A Tossing Game

*Flight* is a Flash animated action shooter created by Newgrounds.com producer Krin Juangbhanich, also known on Newgrounds as Krinn. Sponsored by gaming site Armor Games, the game design is credited to Krin Juangbhanich, and music is credited to David Orr and Stack299. Artwork is credited to Puff Pisanwalerd.

*Flight* was submitted to Newgrounds.com on January 18, 2011. Since then, it has won a Daily Feature award on January 19, 2011, a highly coveted and prestigious award on Newgrounds. This Flash submission has also won a Weekly 3rd Place award on January 19, 2011 as well as a Review Crew Pick award on the same day. This Flash derived action shooter currently holds a score of 4.55 out of 5.00 based on votes cast by the Newgrounds community of users.

Game Background

The game begins with a little clip showing Sandy making a wish to Santa to see her mother for Christmas. She writes this on a paper airplane, which players will have to toss in order to reach its intended destination.

Gameplay

Pick up the paper airplane and toss it. As the paper airplane comes into contact with stars, you will gain money that can be used to purchase upgrades. After your toss, you will be shown a break down of how will you did in that toss. You will be shown the number of stars you have collected along the way, the distance you have travelled, and any bonuses that you have received. All of these are converted into cash amounts that are totaled to give you a final amount of cash you have earned.

Your ultimate goal is to reach the 1000M distance mark necessary to get the paper airplane to its intended destination.

At the end of each throw, you will be sent to an Upgrades page, where you can purchase upgrades for Sandy's paper airplane. Upgrades include, but are not limited to, the following:

- better plane model

- lighter plane

- better aerodynamics

- plane control

- throwing power

- adding an engine

- getting crane boosters

- resistance to wind effects

- mystery upgrade!

There are also a good number of achievements you can obtain throughout the game. These are also shown on the Upgrades page of the game. You can also mute the sound from the Upgrades page as well as the main game page.

*Flight* features three game slots for saving multiple games.

Game Review

*Flight* offers players a tossing game that involves a little more heart and a more interesting storyline than its predecessors. The many upgrades and achievements also keep players playing.
