I didn't find the book clips I saw at the gym, but instead I found something better! The FlipKlip is awesome for many reasons.
One Size Fits All! The book clips I saw at the gym seemed to be made for novels or thick books, however the FlipKlip works on any book of any size or amount of pages. It works on a spring mechanism so it just adjusts to whatever size the book is. This little clip is also strong enough for a really thick book. I've used it on 500 page books with no problem.
How it works: The FlipKlip has two back arms that stay in place and two front arms that flip up. You jut slide the book into the clips and flip these two arms down. The spring mechanism keeps it tight enough to hold the book open but not so strong that you have to worry about it tearing the pages. The soft ends make sure your book won't get ruined by the clip at all.
Turning the pages is a little tricky but overall it's better than being without a clip. When I turn the pages, I usually have to lift up both top arms and then turn the page and close the arms again. They have a video to try and demonstrate how easy it is to turn the pages, however I found it to be a bit trickier than what it shows in the video. However, this is still better than having to hold the book open by hand the whole time I'm on a treadmill.
The FlipKlip helps with exercise, cooking, anything you need! Any activity you are doing where you need both hands free, the FlipKlip can help. When exercising, use the FlipKlip to hold your page and you can set it down on the treadmill or most other cardio equipment for mostly hands free reading. When baking, recipe books never seem to stay open on their own. However with this little device you can hold it open to any page with no problem. It can also work great when doing projects where a book of instructions is being used, or how about when doing homework!
The FlipKlip comes in a set of two for $16.50. That may sound like alot, but when you think of the convenience you are getting, it's totally worth it. You can buy one at a time if you want, but I decided to splurge on two so my husband can use one too. Buy one for you and one as a gift! Any reader in your life should like this FlipKlip.
When you are done, just clip it to the book! When you're finished reading for the day, just clip the FlipKlip on the outside of your book so it's read to go for next time! It's very strong and, as you can see in the picture, you can even lift a book with it. I wouldn't recommend this though as you don't want to weaken the FlipKlip.
Visit Amazon.com today and get the FlipKlip for all you reading needs. Enjoy!!

Good review on a very useful product!
Very cool! My old gym had mounted brackets on the treadmills and bikes that would flip up and over the unit when people weren't using them. Great product review :)
