Flirting Vs. Cheating

Did you make a compliment to another man? If you stay away from the emotional infidelity, the flirt remains harmless, even funny.

On the other hand, the emotional infidelity consists in intimacy (discussing personal problems with some one else than your boyfriend).

The flirt is harmless when:

- You talk or you joke with other men (friends or colleagues) in the presence of your boyfriend;

- You don't make sexual suggestions or promises to some one else;

- You throw a look after a man, without staring;

- You don't hide to your partner that you take the lunch with a man;

- You laugh at jokes or tease the flirt partner discreetly and without sexual suggestions;

- You treat all the men in the same way, without allocating moments and attention to someone in particular.

How to know that you exaggerate?

- You'll know that you exceeded the limit if your boyfriend shows his disagreement regarding your behavior, if he feels hurt, betrayed or angry.

- You may also know it if your colleagues and friends comment about your attitude. When they say that you're about to cheat emotionally, maybe it is so. Always pay attention to the reactions around him.

- The flirt partner perceives your 'signals'. If he starts to think that you want more than making a joke or a friendly hug, it's clear that you exceed the limit between flirt and emotional betrayal. And if he tries to seduce you, it means that you went too far,

- You flirt from wrong reasons. You do it to manipulate the others, to achieve a certain position or to increase your self confidence.
