Float

Tina Twito
Heat rises here
and folds our
fluttering thoughts
away,
like noisy sheets
once snapping
on the line--

now tucked in
wicker baskets
till tomorrow.

It can wait.

Be light now,
feather light.
Skip the rustle
and the flap.

You have
nowhere to go.

Catch the current.
Rise and find,
but please don't try.

Just float.

    I really like that idea of just relaxing and how one has to relax to float. I love the use of sound in the lines "like noisy sheets
