Florida Coastal School of Law: The Best, Cheapest Eats Near the Southside Campus

Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida, so it's no surprise that there are plenty of good restaurants in and around town. However, law school can be pretty expensive, so it's a good idea to limit your dining out to establishments that are moderately priced.

Here is a list of places to eat near Florida Coastal that won't cost you an arm and a leg:

Larry's Subs:

I have always loved Larry's, but unfortunately, the chain didn't last long in South Florida. When I moved to Jacksonville, I was pleasantly surprised to see several stores, one located right across the street from the school on Baymeadows. Larry's offers typical sub shop food at reasonable prices.

Tijuana Flats Burrito Company:

I had never heard of this restaurant, but apparently it's very popular in North Florida and there are tons of locations. The restaurant offers great Tex-Mex food like burritos and tacos, and their large variety of hot sauces are world famous. The restaurant is located about two miles from school on Baymeadows and Southside.

The Loop Pizza:

The Loop is another restaurant I was not familiar with before moving to Jacksonville, but they have locations all over the area and serve great Chicago style pizza. My husband loves their pizza and I like The Loop because they are willing to substitute various toppings for others on their specialty pizzas. The Loop that is closest to the school is located at Southside and Baymeadows.

The Ale House:

The Ale House is a great place to go to relax, and it seems everyone from Florida Coastal goes there to eat and drink after a rough week at school. The restaurant offers typical bar food and nightly drink specials and is located at Tinsletown on Southside Boulevard.

Mellow Mushroom:

Since I moved to Jacksonville, I have heard everyone talking about a great pizza place called Mellow Mushroom. I finally got around to going a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed. The pizza is unbelievable! I also had their pretzel appetizer and I can't even describe how good it was. You absolutely must go there some time. Mellow Mushroom is located in Tinsletown on Southside Boulevard.

Sushi House:

I really like this restaurant because it's a casual place that serves great food for the price. In addition to sushi, The Sushi House serves delicious Japanese entrees and appetizers. They also deliver. The restaurant is located on the corner of Baymeadows and Southside.
