Located at 8001 South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, the Florida Mall is Central Florida's largest mall. It boasts more than 260 stores and nearly two million square feet. Although it doesn't offer the atmosphere of Orlando's Mall at Millenia, the Florida Mall does offer plenty of variety and bargains.
The major department stores at the Florida Mall include JC Penney, Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sears and Dillard's. They also offer some of Central Florida's most popular men's and women's apparel stores, including Banana Republic, Express, The Limited, Tommy's Island, Benetton and Gap.
You can choose between a large number of jewelers if you're looking for that special something for that special someone. Or if you're shopping for the kids, you can visit M & M World, Gap Kids, the Build-A-Bear Workshop, or the Disney Store. For the computer geek, there's an Apple store and a Radio Shack. For the book lover, there's a Waldenbooks and a Barnes & Noble just down the street. For the sports enthusiast, there's Champs, Footlocker, Speedo Authentic Fitness Store, Lids, the Ultimate Sports Fan and more.
When you visit the Florida Mall in Orlando, Florida, be sure to bring an appetite. There are thirty restaurants and cafés to choose from. You can order a pizza just about any way you like it at the California Pizza Kitchen, or enjoy a delicious Italian family-style meal at Buca di Peppo. If Mexican's your thing, head on over to Salsa Taqueria & Tequila Bar. (Husbands, this is also where you can sit and wait, nursing some outstanding margaritas).
The Florida Mall is even a great shopping destination for tourists to Orlando. The mall is located just a few minutes from the Orlando International Airport, from Downtown Orlando, even from Walt Disney World. So if you've had your fill of Mickey Mouse & Company, you may want to pay the Florida Mall a visit.
Regular hours at the Florida Mall are from ten a.m. to nine p.m. on Monday through Saturday, and from twelve noon to six p.m. on Sunday.
For more information on the stores and restaurants at the Florida Mall - or for directions - you can call the Florida Mall at 407-851-6255.
