Florida is one of the cities usually famous for Disney World, a place where the young ones can enjoy and watch their favorite Disney characters right before their very eyes. However, Florida has many other things to offer, especially of the paranormal kind. There are a lot of paranormal places to visit in Florida, each with its' own personal history and story.

Since Disney World is already in Orlando, Florida, while there, why not visit the Peabody Hotel. There have been a few apparitions, and ghostly sightings in the hotel. To add to all the mystery, it is said that Peabody Hotel has the most suicides of any other hotel in Orlando.

Another place famous for its' share of ghostly ghouls is St. Augustine, Florida. The city is said to be the oldest, eeriest, and most haunted city in the United States. Its dark past and long history of bloodshed may be the cause for all these ghostly apparitions. One of the specific places to go to in St. Augustine is Castillo de San Marcos. This is an old Spanish fort where people have heard screams, canons, and gunfire while taking the tour.

If ghostly sightings are not your cup of tea, you could visit the many beaches of Florida, and work on your tan. On the other hand, if you are a car fanatic, and have a passion for speed, you could also visit the Daytona International Speedway, which is not far from Daytona Beach. If you fancy butterflies you could visit Butterfly World, with numerous butterflies of all colors, shapes and sizes.

But If you want a more varied array of creatures, and butterflies are not enough for you, then head on to the Miami Zoo, where you can have your fill of wild animals for your viewing pleasure. If sea creatures are your interest, then sea world is perfect for you, with a plethora of sea animals, from killer whales, to dolphins, to seals, and others too many to mention.

There is always something to do in Florida. It doesn't matter where your interests lie, whether it be Disney, or the paranormal, or beaches and the warm hot sun. You can do almost anything in Florida, all you have to do is visit.

So go ahead, take a break from all the hustle and bustle of life and visit Florida, where there's always something new to see and experience.
