For this reason, people who love Florida for its many attractions and theme park amusements such as Disney World, Universal Studios and various other parks owned by some corporate giant or another, are often under the belief that actually residing in this hot vacation spot (literally, pun),near all the fun would be unbeatable.
But if you live in Florida, particularly Orlando or Tampa, with only a short distance between your dwelling and the ever continuing adventure, it might be a different story. It's not that you don't enjoy hanging out at the amusement parks every once in a while, but it's likely you've gotten so accustomed to your own daily life routine that the parks and attractions are not necessarily one of your main concerns.
However, despite this comfortable routine apart from the tourism Mecca of their resident town, many who live in these Tampa or Orlando areas admit that they'd take advantage of the theme parks more often if there were something of particular interest to them personally going on. They admit that if they took time to keep up to date on the attractions they probably would discover a rejuvenated interest in at least occasionally taking advantage of what is so nearby. They also are quite likely to be motivated by exclusive discounts and promotional offers.
It's so easy to take for granted the many gateways to both learning and entertainment and a combination of the two, together, that are close to home when your life revolves around a family or a career in another industry. But imagine all of the resources and information, fun, etc that is right at your fingertips and slipping constantly right out of your grasp, with your permission.
I encourage you to play tourist this summer or sometime later this year and get to know the commercial side of your Florida city at least one day. You live in one of the most popular vacation locales for a reason; it truly is a ton of fun. So at the very least I, a previous Florida resident myself who understands this concept, also encourage you to at the very least keep yourself up to date on what attractions are available at the various amusement parks and other entertainment arenas. If you are still uninterested, fair enough. Just don't let yourself miss out on something just because you didn't notice it was ten minutes away from you.
To help you celebrate your enviable Florida residence, I have published a few articles which outline various categories of the best entertainment besides Disney World that the Orlando Florida (Kissimmee) area has to offer as well as information on the discounts available to you as a Florida resident. See these other articles on my Associated Content page of work.
