There are many places in the United States where adventurous individual can go to get up close and personal with sharks. Shark diving in Florida is offered in two places. One place is at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa Bay and a company called Shark Diver offers the other. Key Largo is said to be the best place to go shark diving in Florida location if you prefer open ocean diving. The area around Key Largo has Black Tip Reef, Bonnethead, Bull, Caribbean Reef, Great Hammerhead, and Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks.
When shark diving in Florida at the Florida Aquarium, you will be required to produce your diving certification in order to participate in their shark diving in Florida program. The aquarium has Tiger sharks as well as many other species of sharks. The dive itself will be guided by two master divers who will take you to the bottom of the shark tank in a shark cage. You will spend 30 minutes in the tank with the sharks after you have attended a class about sharks. This is a very secure method for going shark diving in Florida. The Florida Aquarium also offers a shark dive in the tank for up to an hour with additional costs.
The other option for shark diving in Florida is Shark Diver. This experience will take you from Florida to the Bahamas for your search to go shark diving in Florida experience.
It is a seven-day trip with a company, which has a great record for safety. Unlike some shark diving companies, this one insists on using shark cages when diving with Tiger Sharks. Some of the various activities that you will embark on during your shark diving in Florida trip are diving with Tiger Sharks inside cages at Tiger Beach, and visiting El Dorado where you will find the Caribbean Reef Sharks and Lemon Sharks. Since these two species are not thought to be so aggressive, the cage does not have to be used. You will also have the opportunity to encounter dolphins, groupers, Eagle Rays, turtles, and sponges in their beautiful natural habitat.
With all this information, you will have plenty of places to go shark diving in Florida. I think I am going to check into Shark Dive myself.
