Manatee County - Florida is a lover's paradise. People have been coming to Florida for decades; inspired by romantic notions of a paradise to be found. Some fall in love with the nature and scenery, some meet and fall in love while there, some go on honeymoon or much needed holiday; escapism the ultimate fantasy for some. There are some beautiful towns for lover's to become inspired; albeit the scenery in general or quaint bed and breakfasts geared toward the honeymooner or newly married couple. Here are a few of the best areas known to inspire romance.
The beaches of Bradenton and Sarasota - The beaches on the gulf from Bradenton to Sarasota and beyond are truly beautiful. With the emerald gulf waters, cotton candy pink sunsets, and gorgeous powdery beaches, Manatee County is one of the most romantic places on the entire gulf side of Florida in general. The beaches are uniquely superb; with beautiful, shells that look as if they came polished from a shop; very organic and earthy flora and fauna surrounding the beaches, some of the finest sugar-white powdery sands for strolling barefoot and holding hands; especially in the Sarasota and Venice areas, and best of all, amazing sunsets; giant orange fireballs cascading down into the green gulf waters, etching silvery shimmers that seem to bounce off the water and dazzle the senses. People in Manatee County sip wine as they sit on the beaches of Bradenton with their significant other. There are also restaurants directly on the beach as well.
Homestead Florida - On the way to the romantic Florida Keys, there is the Coral Castle built by a man named Edward Leedskalin, and inspired by his undying passion; supposedly for a lost love who married another man. He spent his whole life carving monstrous rocks of natural Florida limestone and coquina shell blocks; massive pieces that weighed tons, into odd astrological and mythological shapes, creating his own masterpiece. The Coral Castle is considered to be one of the mysterious wonders of the world. You can see crescent moons, revolving doors, and a beautiful table with his lost love's favorite plant in the middle; still growing to this day!
Miami - Miami Beach has always been known as a sexy town; South Beach being full of hot bodies on a beautiful beach, romance always in fashion. There are some very romantic restaurants as well, including B.E.D.; where patrons eat French food on white-sheeted beds, very unique in that town. Wherever you go in Florida, there is something apt to inspire the romantic at heart.
