Yet some seeds may not grow.
Though when a flower comes forth
Hiding its thorns, look out;
It might make you say, oh.
Mean flowers can be costly.
Pay to get tortured,
If that is your chore.
Then you pretend to like it.
That flower stuck me.
Let's buy some more.
Some flowers only bloom once.
The laughs on you,
If you paid for the view
Of just a one time show.
We need more customers like you.
Some flowers will turn brown and wilt.
They feel no guilt,
Even if you paid high for the stems.
They may make your yard look ugly,
But what's that to them?
Others buy hungry flowers.
Feed me and water me good,
Say the flowers.
The fertilizer salesmen
Can prosper, too.
It may just not be your hour.

I try to remember to keep my flowers alive so that I can still enjoy them. I love your poem----full of originality.
If the plants I have tried to grow could talk, they would sound like this.
How funny....I am so indebted to flowers...yesterday was my wife's birthday and the flowers deserved every penny! LOL
Haha too funny
I can relate to your fun poem. I love roses for the color and fragrance! The xeroscape plants for less watering! And we certainly get our share of 'dud' plants too.
