On the box it states: "Flu-like symptoms - Feeling run-down -Body aches - Chills - Fever" Children's Oscillococcinum is for ages 2 and older. "It is safe, has no side effects, has a great taste, and is easy to take".
I had been going through 3 days of aching, so much so that I pretty much stayed on the recliner, and only went out when I had to. I had a fever, and a cough too.
The box of Children's Oscillococcinum has 6 doses in it. They each contain 0.04 ounces of homeopathic medicine. Upon opening it, there are 6 vials secured in a plastic front, and a sealed back. I carefully pulled down the top of the back, and was able to take one vial out.
I held it in my hand, and then turned the cap of it, until it came off. Inside were the tiniest of balls. They were white. I lifted up the small tube, and tipped them into my mouth. They started to dissolve immediately. They tasted of Vitamin C. Children's Oscillococcinum is easy to take, and is very pleasant in taste.
These can be taken every 6 hours, and up to 3 times a day.
I am not sure if I was coming to the end of my aches before I started taking these or not. That is an impossible question to answer. The first day I had 2 of the vials of Oscillococcinum, and the following day the aching had stopped. I still felt tired, and lifeless, but was able to be up and about.
I took a third vial the following morning, and realized that the fever had gone too. I did continue to take 2 more that day, and the last one on the third morning. By then I was feeling much better, and was left with a cough. I then continued with cough medicine, and throat drops, until finally it has gone away.
Now that I know that my body can stand the children's strength, I will purchase the adult one next time.
