Flu Season

Prevention Through Common Sense, Nutrition, and Homeopathy

Nathan Schilaty, DC
The "dreaded" flu season is upon us once again; chances are, you probably know someone who has had the flu or swine flue already. Over the last few weeks (and even months), I am sure that you have heard radio commercials, television advertisements, doctors, and the President of the United States touting the importance of getting vaccinated for the flu. Especially with all of the hype about swine flu (H1N1), you are sure to hear more about the flu this season... even though the common flu claims significantly more lives than swine flu.

My family and I do not fear the swine flu, the common flu, or common colds - and we do NOT get vaccinated. Yet, we are some of the healthiest people in the neighborhood! I want to share our health secret with you:

  1. Germ Theory vs. Cellular Theory of Disease. Modern medicine accepts the theory of Louis Pasteur that we are constantly under attack from bacteria, viruses, parasites, prions, and more. We have to protect ourselves constantly from these pathogens. We have come to realize that the more we fight them, the more pathogenic they become. These lifeforms have been on earth much longer than we have and have learned to adapt quickly in order to survive. In contrast, Antoine Bechamp's theory of disease is the Cellular Theory - bacteria, viruses, etc. exist to "clean up" the dead and decaying material. (Notice that food in the fridge does not mold until it is old and decaying!) After all, if bacteria, viruses, and fungi were truly as pathogenic as many people tell us, there would be no forest as the microbes would eat the dead and the living tress! Living trees continue to thrive as they are living matter and not in need of decomposition. To prevent disease, we must CREATE HEALTH!!!1
  2. Good Nutrition. The body's defense performs well when needed if the body is supplied with excellent nutrients - fresh vegetables and fruits. Vegetables and fruits in their pure form supply the body with thousands of phytonutrients that work in harmony to create health in the body. The Standard American Diet (SAD) supplies one vegetable to an individual per week - a potato, and usually fried. In our family, we consume upwards of 15 vegetables and fruits per day in green smoothies, soups, salads, etc.2
  3. Flu shots are just $$$ makers. Viruses have the potential of mutating each time they infect a different person. The strains of flu that are injected into an individual through a flu vaccination may not even prove helpful as the virus may have significantly mutated from the time of the vaccination manufacturing. Almost 70% of people report getting the flu after a flu vaccination. With that kind of statistic, why would you subject yourself to the vaccine? Plus, flu vaccinations are some of the only vaccinations on the market that still contain Thimerosal - a form of toxic mercury that acts as a preservative. These vaccinations are more of a bombardment on health than an assistance. We avoid them with a 10 foot pole... and then some!3
  4. Homeopathic Remedies. The body's immune system is effectively ramped up by homeopathy; they are natural, safe remedies and work in harmony with the body - not against it. By principle of the Law of Infintesimals, homeopathy stimulates the immune system in a much more gentle form than vaccinations. As a family and in my practice, we rely on the helpful properties of homeopathy to create health and to increase the strenght of immune defense.4

Become an informed health consumer and research more about Flu Vaccines. Then, prevent disease by creating health with proper nutrition and other natural remedies. Vaccines do not create health, they harm it. Create health with nutrition, exercise, proper care of human frame, properly treating emotions, and homeopathy and enjoy a season free of the flu!
