Oh bear with me and the ramblings of a fevered mind.
Hysteria clutches my sanity.
How many days shall I be quarantined?
Do I really wish to cast this hell onto the innocent?
Some foul beast so carelessly tossed this about willy-nilly,
Without a thought of how it would effect others such as I?
Oh you wretched one, a thousand darts of piss off I send your way.
As you languish, flu-free after giving it to me,
Maniacal laughter shall haunt your dreams if I find out who you are.
But I poor wounded victim, I will not pass this on to another,
Wittingly that is. Too bad for all of those who I frolicked around while
Harvesting this vile germ. Please don't hunt me down and shoot me. On the other hand, that may have been a blessing while under the throes of this vile, foul bug.
Off to the couch I go once again to nurse my wounded body and psyche. I will cringe in horror later when I read this later.

I'm just getting over the flu, too! Plus a sinus infection! Nasty stuff. Hope you're better soon.
Very, very good choice of words. I hope you feel better very soon! I hate having the flu. It is very careless for people to go out (when they don't have to) and spread their nasty flu germs.
Hope u are better!
How unique--I've never read a poem about the flu!
I can certainly understand your ramblings. Having the flu is truly miserable. I hope you feel better soon, Shana. :-)
