Fluoride to Be Added to Drinking Water

Kimball, Nebraska -- One of the hot topic issues is the vote for fluoridation in our drinking water for towns with over 500 people. While there are many people who don't really care if this happens, there are many people who are concerned about the issue. Many people question if the use of fluoridation is actually going to help the people or hurt them.

Fluoridation of water has never been proven to prevent cavities. Topical fluoride such as toothpastes have been proven to work, however, the ingestion of fluoride has not been proven. This means that the desire to prevent cavities may not actually be handled by the ingestion of fluoride.

Still there are people that don't understand the need for the fluoride. They state that the fluoride that is put in water today is going to be there tomorrow. Fluoride is not something that can disappear from water after it has been added. Scientists have found that it remains present and with time has a huge impact on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. This means that if we eat fish, we would be having fluoride once again because that water has been ingested by the fish.

Some scientists state that fluoride is poisonous. There have been records to show that fluoride can have a detrimental effect on humans as well as animals in how they develop. The fact that the government believes that they can control the doses that people drink is insane. People are always drinking different amounts of water; therefore, there is no possible way for someone to regulate how much water is being drunk by one person. Yet, some people insist that they are being forced to admit a medication into their water supply. This in itself is not ethical at all.

The issue at hand is whether or not fluoride should or should not be put into our drinking water. For the most part, people are not impressed with the bill that is to be passed within the next month. There are forums that many towns are discussing the issue to see what they should or should not do. Most towns are agreeing that this is not the best idea for them. The government has tried to pass this type of bill before and many towns did not participate when the bill passes last time. It seems to me that many more towns are going to decline again this year.

It only takes a few minutes to look up a ADA study on Pub med and type in Yoder K.M.. This clearly shows the majority of dentists have no clue on how fluoride works. Only 17% got the science right in Indiana and 14% in Illinois. I always though dentists were very smart. They are very stuck on the disproved theory that ingested fluoride has benefit. The science now proves it just damages enamel which is then very expensive to repair. The Pizzo review 2007 showed 51% damaged in fluoridated cities. More for blacks as about double damaged over whites from the first study. Keep that quiet as the claim it helps them most is what the dentists still tell the public. Featherstone 2000 and Burt 2007 both show the rest of the story not told. The UK york study 2000 showed that fluoridation tripled the damage from 15% to 48% with 12.5% ugly enough for cosmetic restoration. This is very big bucks direct from your own pocket. Dentists have learned to deal with this huge increase in income. Dental

Just look at some of the websites such as the EPA Headquarters union which have worked against fluoridation calling it a fraud for years and asking congress for immediate moratorium. Did you miss the front page head line. Everyone did. This is kept a secret to the American people while the ADA and CDC say safe for all and everyone benefits. 11 EPA professional unions strong asked for the halt again in 2005. 19 unions on 2008 feb 29. You can read 8 position papers at nteu280.org by clicking on fluoride. Get the science from the scientists not the political appointees who only know policy devoid of science. fluoridealert.org also has the video of the EPA scientists request to congress on a short video. Big choice of researcher videos and it is easy to discover the science of how fluoride is a cumulative toxin just like arsenic and lead. Ingested fluoride has ZERO benefit so now they claim drinking f-water is topical. 1000ppm might have topical but 1ppm does not. This has been a
