Check with the Airline
Many airlines will not allow you to fly past a certain week in your pregnancy. You need to confirm that you are able to fly with the airline before booking your flight.
Drink LOTS of Fluids
Airplanes can dehydrate you and that is not something you want especially pregnant. Make sure you drink a lot of water, juice or any other decaffeinated beverage. Stay away from caffeine because it will deplete you of fluids, which means you have to drink more to replenish what you are losing.
With the new safety rules at airports, keep in mind that you may not be able to bring your bottled water past the security gate. You can bring juice or other colored liquid, just not clear water. After you pass the security gate, you can purchase bottled water from one of the vendors. This of course, will entail that you spend an outrageous amount of money on water you get for much cheaper on the outside. You have to do what you have to do though...
Walk Around
You need to make sure you get up stand, stretch or walk around every hour or so. You don't want to get blood clots in your legs, which is much more likely when you are pregnant. While in the airport and in the airplane, you will have to remember to get up. This may not be a problem since you will be drinking enough to make you go to the bathroom more than every hour anyhow.
Watch What You Carry
If you are traveling alone, be careful of lifting your luggage and if you must, remember lifting safety (lift with your legs). There are usually airport staff that will help you with getting your luggage to the check in counter. They will expect a tip so be prepared. Try not to have much carry on luggage to make your journey through the airport much more enjoyable and less tiresome.
Bring a Small Pillow
If you are having back trouble, don't forget your pillow for your lower back. If your plane is delayed and you have to sit in the airport, you don't want to deal with your back aching for hours.
Flying during pregnancy can be hard but you can make it easier on yourself by following the above suggestions. Enjoy your trip!
