Flying Ice: How Can You Be Protected?

Unknown
What exactly is flying Ice? It is that frozen snow that is stuck to
the roof of your car or truck. People forget to clean it off in the
mornings and when the tempature rises it melts and flys off the roof
of the car and damages the people and the cars around them when they
stop short or turn sharply.
For people who don't see this as a big
deal if did claim the life of a man in ridgewood, New Jersey tweleve
years ago and has injured countless victims since. The question begins
being asked should we fine drivers who do not clean off thief cars? Is
it really such a hard thing to do or are we just convinced it wont
happen to us. The other question is for company drivers, do we hold
the driver or the companies responsible?
There are a couple of ways to
prevent this. 1. Run the engine in the morning and push the ice off
before you drive. 2. Slice open a trash bag and place it over your
roof. It will collect the snow and you can yank it off int the
morning.or 3. You can opt for a car cover. It is the more expensive
route but it does protect your car from damage as well as snow and
ice.
I hope this helps, safe driving people.
