This hunt is for kids to actually find their Easter baskets. They will enjoy following the clues, which ends up being like a scavenger hunt, for their Easter basket. Kids love surprises and this new way of having to hunt for their Easter basket on Easter morning will be no different. They will love the extra fun involved with finding their Easter basket. Here is how to create a follow the clues Easter egg hunt.

FOLLOW THE EASTER EGGS:

First you will need to get some large plastic Easter eggs, 2 Easter baskets for each child, and candy to fill the children's Easter baskets with. You will also need to write clues to lead them eventually to their Easter basket. It's kind of like a maze they have to follow to find their Easter basket.

Set one large egg with a clue inside and an empty Easter basket beside of their bed for them to find on Easter morning when they wake up. They will have to open the egg, read the clue, then go to find their next egg. Make the clues somewhat difficult to find. For instance, do not directly tell them where to go, instead give a clue like, find the place where you fraternal family member sits most often to watch TV. This would lead them to their father's favorite chair to watch TV in. Or you could even make the clues more difficult than that if your children are older.

The hunt will lead the kids from one egg to another to another, eventually leading them to their Easter basket. They will probably be almost upset to find their Easter basket instead of another clue at the end, so make sure that you make it long enough, giving at least 5 to 7 clues before they will find their basket.
