Reflection: Paul told the Corinthians to pattern themselves or follow by example as he imitated and followed Christ. Paul knew that it wasn't himself that they were to follow but how he patterned himself after Jesus and lead by example. Who are we following today and what do we believe? As Christians if we follow the popular teachings because of the person that is teaching them, or their popularity, we can find ourselves in a heap of trouble. We must learn to pattern ourselves after Jesus and only imitate or follow those as they imitate and follow Jesus!
1 Corinthians 11:1 PATTERN YOURSELVES after me [follow my example], as I imitate and follow Christ (the Messiah).
Ephesians 5:1 THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
