Food Indulges the Senses

Indulgent, soothing, comforting, satisfying, gratifying, and enjoyable. That's what food is all about! And who doesn't enjoy good food?

Food is the ultimate gift for any occasion and is a universally understood language. During times of happiness, stress, sorrow, and celebration, food always takes center stage. It provides an indulgence that cannot be satisfied in any other way. Eating relieves tension and gives us a sense of well-being and comfort.

A carefully wrapped gift basket of delicate chocolate treasures conjures up feelings of excitement and anticipation for lovers. A lovingly prepared casserole and rich, decadent dessert brings warmth and comfort to the sorrowful. And what better than a gift of colorful, assorted candies and sparkling gumdrops to gain the attention and affection of a young child.

When old friends reunite after years apart, they meet for fellowship and food. When families gather to celebrate weddings, holidays, and graduations, food takes center stage. And when children converge to celebrate birthdays, the culmination is a beautifully decorated and sensually sweet cake.

The reason? Food engages the senses like nothing else.

People crave immediate gratification and food certainly stands up to the test. It tantalizes the senses of sight, touch, smell and taste like nothing else. Food quickly elicits comforting and warming sensations - both physically and mentally.

Food immediately indulges the senses for a pleasurable experience. That makes it the ultimate gift across the generations!
